The development entity, led by EA Fish Companies, pioneered "Urban Renewal" in Boston's South End when it broke ground on the Wilkes Passage development. Wilkes Passage Lofts is an urban infill development consisting of a seven story mixed-use development that consists of 152 residential condominium units, 20,000 square feet of commercial/restaurant space and approximately 386 below-grade parking spaces. Prior to breaking ground, on this exciting mixed-use condominium project, EA Fish Companies worked closely with the neighborhood associations, city and state agencies and other government and community stakeholders to shepherd the project through the predevelopment and permitting stage of the development.

One of the biggest challenges that EA Fish Companies had to overcome in completing Wilkes Passage Lofts was to remediate a significant environmental issue. Given EA Fish Companies' past experience in dealing with these types of issues and working within the Brownfields program, EA Fish Companies was able to utilize existing grants to remediate the issues and keep the project on schedule and on budget.
