The development entity led by EA Fish Companies, acquired The Waterworks at Chestnut Hill after being selected as the winner of a request for proposal competition sponsored by the state agency, the Division of Capital Asset Management. Prior to breaking ground on this mixed-use condominium project, EA Fish Companies permitted the project as part of the Boston Redevelopment Authority's Article 80 large project review process. The Waterworks at Chestnut Hill's biggest challenges were; converting three historic structures, built in the 19th century, into 112 21st century luxury condominium residences and a public museum, respectfully combining new construction and historic structures as part of the same program to create a consistent architectural design across all phases of the project, working with a multitude of project stakeholders, including, the community, city, state and local government agencies to create a first class sustainable project.
The team of EA Fish Development, Dellbrook Construction, and Peabody Properties, worked together throughout the development, construction, marketing and management phases of the Waterworks solving complex issues and creating opportunities for success.
